Michael Tonovitz

Mr. Tonovitz has worked with both Public Housing and HCV Programs for over 25 years, having previously served as Executive Director/CEO and HCV Director of various high performing agencies.

He is currently Project Director for several of CVR's Housing Choice Voucher Management, Asset Repositioning, RAD, and HUD Technical Assistance engagements at various large and mid-sized PHAs. He has worked on a multitude of CVR engagements in cities such as Chicago, Buffalo, Gary, Detroit, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Tonovitz also possesses significant expertise in project-based vouchers, relocation, and RAD.

Additionally, he has developed and implemented innovative programs and administrative policies and procedures for which Agencies have received numerous awards, including a fraud prevention program for which NAHRO granted its National Award of Excellence.

Mr. Tonovitz earned his bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher College in New York and has studied housing at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
