Fri Awasum

Fri Awasum has extensive experience in clinical leadership and medical education. Currently serving as the Regional Chief Clinical Officer and Regional Medical Director at ChenMed since September 2021, Fri Awasum also holds the position of Assistant Professor of Community and Family Medicine at Howard University since October 2017. Previous roles include Medical Director of Hospital Medicine at US Acute Care Solutions and Hospitalist Physician at both Adventist HealthCare and Alteon Health. Fri Awasum began a medical career as Chief Resident and Resident Physician at UI Health from July 2014 to June 2017. Educational credentials include degrees from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Hampton University.
