Gaynor Ayres

Gaynor Ayres has a diverse range of work experience. Gaynor has been self-employed since 2019, working as a Special Project Manager for a country retreat in the North York Moors National Park, where they organize foraging walks and preserves wild food. Prior to this, Gaynor worked as a Host for Airbnb starting in 2017. From 2012 to 2019, they were a Support Specialist at Camphill Village Trust. Gaynor has also worked as an Environmental education teacher from 2009 to 2012, teaching science and conducting various activities like tree planting and storytelling. From 1999 to 2011, they worked as a Teacher in the Hospital Teaching Service for hard-to-reach teenagers, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and field studies. Additionally, Gaynor worked as a Teacher of field studies and national Park issues for the North York Moors National Park Authority from 1990 to 1999, and as a Social Worker Peripatetic for United Response from 1982 to 1990.

Gaynor Ayres attended Croydon High School from 1967 to 1978. After completing high school, they went on to study at the University of Reading from 1978 to 1981, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Geography. Gaynor also obtained a post graduate certificate in education from The University of Sheffield in 1982. In terms of additional certifications, Gaynor received training in beauty therapy from The Training Room in April 2018 and completed a counseling course at Redcar & Cleveland College in August 2016.
