Maja Turkovic

Maja Turkovic has a wide range of experience within the renewable energy industry. Maja is currently the Executive VP at CWP Europe since July 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of SVP Development Europe at CWP Global starting in October 2021. As the VP Serbia at CWP Global from January 2019 to October 2021, they gained valuable leadership skills. Maja also co-founded and served as a board member for the Association for Sustainable Development (ASOR) Serbia starting in 2015. Their experience in managing wind power companies includes roles such as Managing Director at Wind Power Co from 2013 to 2018, Managing Partner at Wind Park Plandiste doo Serbia from 2011 to 2013, and Partner at Energowind, Serbia from 2009 to 2013. Earlier in their career, Maja worked as the Head of Marketing and Research at ERG Int Ltd from 2003 to 2009 and as the Assistant Minister for Power Sector at the Ministry of Energy, Government of the Republic of Serbia from 2001 to 2003. Maja started their professional journey as a Research Associate at the Electrical Engineering Institute "Nikola Tesla" from 1996 to 2001.

Maja Turkovic completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Imperial College London's Business School in 2003. Before that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Power Systems Department at the Electrical Engineering Faculty of Belgrade in 1998. Additionally, their education history includes a period of study at the London School of Public Relations / McCann Erickson Belgrade from an unspecified year to 2005, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
