Matthew Newton has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to enterprise architecture, financial control, and project management. Matthew has served as the Chief Architect and VP of Enterprise Architecture Delivery at CWT, where they provided strategic leadership and aligned technology solutions with business needs. Prior to that, they worked at glh Hotels as an Enterprise Architect and Head of Business Systems, where they established and developed their Enterprise Architecture practice and managed cloud services for business systems. Matthew also served as a Programme and Applications Manager, overseeing IT transformation programs and managing the IT function. Additionally, Matthew has held positions at Hilton International in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and London, where they worked in financial control, operations analysis, sales, and conference & banqueting.

Matthew Newton attended Anglia Ruskin University from 1992 to 1994, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Business Studies with a focus on Catering Management. Prior to that, they attended the Colchester Institute of Higher Education from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a BTEC HND in Hotel, Catering & Institutional Management. In 2014, Matthew also obtained the TOGAF 9 Certified certification from The Open Group.
