Ricardo Olarte has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Ricardo is currently the CEO and Founder of Advisory Boards Corp, a position they have held since September 2023. Prior to this, Ricardo was the Managing Partner and Founder of CxOforum.net, a role they held from February 2018. Ricardo also served as a Member of the IT Committee at bvc-Bolsa de Valores de Colombia S.A. starting in May 2018.

Before their ventures as an entrepreneur, Ricardo held leadership roles in various multinational corporations. Ricardo served as the CEO of CIONET Latam North, a professional network that helps CIOs and IT executives build effective business relationships, from July 2013 to December 2017. Ricardo was also the Director of Public Private Alliances for Latin America at Microsoft Corporation from December 2010 to July 2013.

Earlier in their career, Ricardo held positions such as Regional Director of Market Expansion Program for Latin America and General Manager of Andinos, Central America, and the Caribbean at Intel Corporation. Ricardo was also the General Manager of Acer Colombia and the Logistic Manager of Colombia at Henkel, Xerox, and Philips respectively.

Throughout their career, Ricardo has demonstrated their expertise in IT, business development, logistics, and management.

Ricardo Olarte completed their undergraduate studies from 1981 to 1986 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, earning a degree in Industrial Engineering. Ricardo further pursued their education at Universidad de Los Andes, from 1998 to 2000, completing a Top Management Program. In 2020, they attended SingularityU Benelux and obtained a certification in 10X Strategy, focusing on exponential organizations. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Customer Experience: Journey Mapping from LinkedIn in the year 2020.
