Ian Stevenson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2009, they started as a Commercial Manager for ATEEDA, where they assisted with market assessment, marketing materials, sales campaigns, and investor materials. Ian also helped ATEEDA raise significant investments and grants. From 2009 to 2016, Ian served as a Non-Executive Director for Contemplate Ltd, conducting market assessment, supporting product marketing, and developing the team. In 2010, they founded and became the CEO of Salient Point, a consultancy that helped tech startups find customers and investment. Ian worked with various clients including startups, universities, industry organizations, and the public sector. From 2009 to 2016, they were also a Commercial Manager for UniKLasers, a role in which they showcased their expertise in driving commercial success. In 2015, Ian founded Cyacomb and served as the CEO and Founder. Ian also founded and chaired OSTIA, the UK Online Safety Tech Industry Association, working towards improving online safety. Ian founded Blipfuture CIC in 2015 as well and served as Founder and Director, overseeing the operation and growth of the Blipfoto social media site. From 2009 to 2017, Ian volunteered as a Director/Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee for Forth Sector, a social enterprise focused on helping individuals with long-term mental health issues return to work. Additionally, they served as the Commercial Champion for Edinburgh Napier University from 2015 to 2016. Prior to their various roles, Ian participated in the prestigious Saltire Fellowship in 2009, where they gained valuable business leadership skills and completed a placement at Sun Microsystems in Silicon Valley.

Ian Stevenson received their Bachelor of Engineering with Honors degree in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering from The University of Edinburgh from 1993 to 1997. In 2009, they attended Babson College for the Saltire Fellowship Special Programme in Business, Sales & Marketing. In 2017, Ian participated in the Entrepreneurial Development Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
