Claire Hummel is a seasoned visual designer and artist with a rich history in the gaming and entertainment industries. Currently serving as Lead Visual Designer at Cyan, Claire contributes to the art direction of the Myst franchise and supports the upcoming Riven project. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Concept Artist and Art Director at Valve Corporation, where Claire worked on unannounced titles and contributed to the acclaimed Half-Life: Alyx. As Art Director at Campo Santo, Claire helped shape the aesthetic vision for In the Valley of Gods, focusing on extensive research into cultural influences. Significant achievements also include serving as Production Designer for HBO's Emmy-winning Westworld VR and improving visual fidelity at Microsoft Studios. Claire holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and has been involved in academia as an Adjunct Professor at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
