Jakob Höflich is a co-founder and CMO at Cyanite.ai since January 2019, where they empower music companies with AI technology to index, discover, and recommend music. Jakob is also a guest lecturer at New York University since May 2022, BIMM Institute since March 2021, and Popakademie Baden-Württemberg since April 2018. In addition, they have worked as a research consultant at Hogeschool Utrecht from November 2020 to July 2021. Prior to these roles, Jakob was the co-founder and CMO of Groovecat from September 2015 to December 2018. Jakob also co-founded Lapidar Innovations from July 2017 to March 2018. Additionally, Jakob has experience as a production intern at CS Global in May 2014 and as a strategy and consulting intern at Triad Berlin Projektgesellschaft mbH from January 2012 to August 2012. Jakob began their career as an event planner at HTW Berlin from September 2010 to May 2011.

Jakob Höflich attended the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg from 2014 to 2016, where they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Music & Creative Industries. Prior to that, they studied at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin from 2010 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Communication.
