Matteo Lucchetti is a seasoned professional in cybersecurity and cybercrime with extensive experience in various roles. Currently, Matteo serves as the Director of CYBER 4.0 - Cybersecurity Competence Center since April 2021. Additionally, Matteo holds a position on the Advisory Board of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE) until August 2024. Previous roles include Programme Manager for the Cybercrime Programme Office at the Council of Europe and a Research Officer at the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights. Matteo has also led initiatives in cybersecurity at Poste Italiane and managed significant research projects at ABI Lab. Earlier research work was conducted at ENEA, focusing on intelligent control systems. Matteo's academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, and a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma.

Cyber 4.0 è il Centro di Competenza nazionale ad alta specializzazione per la cyber security promosso e finanziato dal MISE nel quadro del programma Industria 4.0. Operativo dal 2021, è un’associazione non-profit che aggrega un partenariato pubblico-privato di primo piano a livello nazionale. Include più di 40 soci, tra università, enti pubblici, grandi aziende, PMI, fondazioni e altri organismi rappresentativi di settori specifici. Obiettivo del Centro è supportare la transizione digitale di aziende e Pubblica Amministrazione potenziando competenze e capacità operative in materia di cyber security, mettendo a disposizione programmi di formazione e orientamento, fornendo servizi altamente specializzati e finanziando progetti di ricerca e innovazione.
