Eric Basu is the founder and CEO of Sentek Global, a small defense contractor that they built to become the largest in the region before selling the company to Deloitte. Eric also co-founded and served as the president of Global Entertainment Security, a security services company with offices in San Diego, Los Angeles, and New York. Basu is the founder and member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence, a non-profit committed to making the greater San Diego region the Cyber Security Center of Excellence. Eric is a Limited and Venture Partner of The Veteran Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm, and a member of the board of advisors for Saved in America, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating trafficked children. Basu is also a member of the board of directors for Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation, a non-profit that raises funds to support and supplement Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department programs and initiatives. Eric is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Haiku, Inc, which makes "Games that Train" focused on teaching real-world cybersecurity skills and connecting players to jobs.
Eric Basu attended San Jose State University from 1983 to 1988, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology. Eric later attended UCLA Anderson School of Management from 1999 to 2001, where they completed an Executive MBA program. The field of study for their EMBA is not specified.
