Paul Barbat

Paul Barbat has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and software engineering. Paul co-founded and served as the COO of Cyber Dacians since September 2019. Paul also worked as a Senior Information Security Officer at Banca Transilvania starting from February 2020.

In 2019, Paul worked as a Cyber Security Engineer at Cyber Threat Defense from February to September.

Before that, they were employed at Accenture as a Software Engineering Associate from September 2016 to May 2018. Paul also had a brief internship at Accenture as a Software Engineering Intern from June 2016 to August 2016, where they worked on two individual projects related to random data generation and data transfer services for Hadoop Servers.

Paul Barbat has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca. Paul also holds a German Language Certificate (Deutsches Sprachdiplom) from the Kultursministerkonferenz Berlin and a Cambridge Advanced English Certificate from the University of Cambridge. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including RastaLabs - Red Team Operator Level 2 from Hack The Box and Auditor de Securitate Cibernetica (tip: General) from the National Cyber Security Directorate. Paul is also in the process of obtaining an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification.
