Hilton Nicholson has had an extensive career in various leadership positions within the telecommunications industry. Hilton began their career in 1996 at Alcatel-Lucent, where they held an executive role until 2002. Hilton then joined 3Com Corporation as the SVP of Product Operations from 2004 to 2006. Following this, they were the President of Network Solutions at ADC Telecommunications from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, Hilton served as the CEO and President of Sixnet. Most recently, they have been the CEO of Cyber Reef Solutions since 2011.

Hilton Nicholson pursued their education in a methodical manner, focusing primarily on electrical engineering. Hilton completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Louisiana Tech University from 1976 to 1980. Building on their foundational knowledge, they then went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University between 1984 and 1988. Demonstrating their commitment to further enhancing their skills and knowledge in the business domain, Hilton later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Duke University's The Fuqua School of Business from 1990 to 1991, specializing in Business.
