Michael Akomer

Michael Akomer has a diverse range of work experience. Michael worked as the Manager of Cyber Security and Data Privacy Services at Cyber Watch Systems starting in April 2022 and previously held the position of Senior Security Consultant from February 2019 to April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Deloitte as an Advisory Consultant from July 2017 to February 2019. In 2016, they served as a Financial Advisor Intern at Merrill Lynch. Before that, they interned at Deloitte as an ERS Intern from September 2015 to November 2015. Michael also worked at Apple as a T1 AppleCare iOS Advisor from April 2014 to October 2014. Their earliest work experience was as a Camp Supervisor at Plano Sports Authority from June 2010 to August 2014.

Michael Akomer attended Texas A&M University from 2012 to 2017, where they pursued a Master of Science in Management Information Systems. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Accounting. In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in September 2020. Michael also achieved the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPPUS) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in May 2019. Furthermore, Michael earned a Cybersecurity Fundamentals certification from ISACA in August 2018.
