Angela Zhang

Angela Zhang has had a diverse work experience since 2011. Angela began their career as a Music Department Usher and Pre-engineering Program Math Tutor at UC Berkeley. In 2013, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the UC Berkeley Herr Lab, where they conducted microfluidics research for lab-on-a-chip. In 2014, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at UCSF and an R&D Intern at Plexxikon Inc. and Bioprocess Control. Angela also worked as an Algorithms Intern at Toyon Research Corporation. In 2017, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Google, and from 2016-2022 they were a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Senior R&D Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Abbott and Cyberdontics, respectively.

Angela Zhang attended University of California, Berkeley from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering. Angela then furthered their education at UC Santa Barbara, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2021.
