Sounil Yu

Sounil Yu is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Knostic, having started in October 2023. Yu serves as a Fellow at the National Security Institute of George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School since December 2019 and has been a member of the Team8 CISO Village since June 2022. As a Venture Advisor and CISO-in-Residence at YL Ventures, which focuses on cybersecurity investments, Yu has guided the funding of Israeli tech entrepreneurs since November 2019. Additional roles include investor positions at Valence Security, RealCISO.io, Toucan, Sublime Security, and GreyNoise Intelligence, where each company addresses various aspects of cybersecurity and technology. Sounil Yu's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Duke University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
