Craig M. Taylor has a long and successful career in information security and risk management. Craig M. began their career in 1997 as Operations Manager and Security Consultant for Venture Computer Systems, where they managed and mentored 12 computer technicians and consulted on information security and Y2K preparations. In 1999, they joined Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as Lead Information Risk Manager, where they developed all aspects of CSC’s Cloud Hosting security program across UNIX, Intel, Database, Engineering, Firewalls, and Connectivity teams (+180 staff worldwide). This program passed every audit including PCI, ISO27001, and seven straight SAS70 (now SSAE16). In 2011, they moved to Vistaprint as Director - Information Risk Manager, where they developed global Information Security and IT Asset Mgmt programs by building out technologies, developing people, creating processes, and governance policies. In 2014, they joined Chase Paymentech as Director Information Risk and Compliance, where they rebuilt two teams of information risk professionals while lowering attrition from 40% to below 10%. Later that year, they also became CEO and Co-Founder of CyberHoot, as well as Co-Founder and Chief Information Security Officer. In 2015, they joined Neoscope as Chief Information Security Officer, where they were responsible for designing Cyber Security service offerings for SMB markets, managing and developing Cyber Security program development, and consulting on Information Security, Risk Management, compliance considerations, and business development.
Craig M. Taylor graduated from the University of Guelph in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2001, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². In June 2020, they obtained the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
