Charles J.C. has a long and varied work experience. Charles J. began their career in 1988 as an Undergraduate Engineer at the National Security Agency. In 1989, they became a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Michigan. In 1996, they took on the role of Vice President, Research and Development at Cybernet Systems Corporation. In 2012, they became Vice President of Midwest Operations (Kingdom Seneschal - Middle Kingdom) at Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. and in 2015, they were promoted to Chief Technology Officer at Cybernet Systems Corporation. Throughout their roles, Charles has been responsible for leading research and development programs, overseeing R&D activities, providing technical leadership and staff mentoring, setting corporate goals, developing strategic plans, and formulating and administering corporate policies.

Charles J. C. obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University between 1984 and 1989. Charles J. then went on to the University of Michigan and obtained an M.S. in Electrical Engineering between 1989 and 1991. Following that, they obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan between 1996 and 2006. In 2010, Charles J. C. obtained an M.S. in Engineering Management from Eastern Michigan University. Additionally, Charles J. C. has obtained two certifications: a Coursera certification in Think Again: How to Reason and Argue in 2013 and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in 2008.
