Oliver Väärtnõu

CEO at Cybernetica

Oliver Väärtnõu has had a diverse work experience in various organizations and positions. Oliver started their career at Global Trust Council as Deputy Director of External Relations in 2010. Oliver later became the CEO of ELIKO Competence Centre in Electronics-, Info- and Communication Technologies from 2010 to 2012. In 2011, they became a Member of the Board at Estonian Defense Industry Union. In 2012, they joined The State Chancellery of the Republic of Estonia as the Director of the Government Strategy Office. From 2013 to 2016, they served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at North Estonia Medical Centre. In 2014, they became the CEO of Cybernetica and was also appointed as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Smartmatic-Cybernetica Centre of Excellence for Internet Voting. In 2015, they joined the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a Member of the Board and later became the Vice-Chairmen of the Board in September 2023. In 2017, they served as a Member Of The Supervisory Board at Baltic Workboats Ltd until September 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board at EASi ja KredExi ühendasutus.

Oliver Väärtnõu started their education at HTG, where they completed their high school education from 1997-1999. Oliver then attended the University of Tartu from 1999-2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration. Following that, they pursued further education at the University of Tartu again from 2003-2005, where they studied Entrepreneurship and Technology Management. Lastly, they attended the University of Sussex in 2005-2006, completing a Master of Science degree in Innovation and Science Policy.
