Terrence Yee Xian Ng

Terrence Yee Xian Ng began working as a Security Analyst at CyberOwl in 2020. In this role, they help asset operators gain visibility of the cyber risks to their distributed, remote assets by providing near-real-time visibility of the behaviours of these assets and their communication patterns. Terrence Yee Xian detects and raises early warning of cyber-attack tactics, techniques and procedures; identifies anomalous and suspicious activity; and monitors for non-compliance with cyber security policies.

Prior to this, they worked as a Process Engineer at Prysmian Group from 2018. In this role, they integrated visual sensors in the production line to detect abnormalities in the cables and carried out a project to replace an old conveyor system with an automated guided vehicle system to decrease the production time of copper wires by 30%. Terrence Yee Xian also engaged with suppliers to obtain suggestions for different systems and price quotes.

Terrence Yee Xian Ng completed their secondary school education at Sri Kuala Lumpur in 2014, where they obtained their SPM (GCSE equivalent). In 2015 and 2016, they attended Taylor's College, where they achieved GCE A-Levels in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Terrence Yee Xian then went on to The University of Manchester, graduating in 2020 with a MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In 2019, they also attended NEXT Academy | SEA's Best Coding/ Digital Marketing School to gain experience in Fullstack web-development. In June 2021, Terrence obtained a GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC Certifications.
