Scott Rye is an experienced professional with a strong background in the field of passive optical networks and fiber optic security technologies. Scott began their career in the United States Navy as a Cryptologic Technician Maintenance, leveraging their knowledge of Top Secret communications. After their military service, Scott held various positions, including Senior Systems Engineer at NEC Corporation, where they provided engineering support for SONET and DWDM equipment. Scott later worked at Sycamore Networks as a Senior Manager in system sales engineering, winning a significant $59 million award for designing a cost-effective architecture for a regional service provider. Scott also served as the Director of System Sales Engineering at Centerpoint Broadband Technologies, providing pre-sales technical support to emerging service providers and the U.S. Federal Government. Scott further advanced their career as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Millennium Inc., where they successfully implemented strategies to increase revenue from $300K to over $2 million. Scott continued their journey at Tellabs as the Director of Business Development & System Sales Engineering, playing a pivotal role in launching the Federal Government market segment.
