Jon Coleman

Jon Coleman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jon'smost recent role is as a Security Engineer at Cyberseer since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior ArcSight Engineer at O2 (Telefónica UK) from November 2020 to July 2022. Before that, they were an Onboarding Engineer at DXC Technology (previously HPESS & Vistorm) from April 2017 to July 2019. Jon also worked at HP Enterprise Security Services for a significant period, starting as an Onboarding Engineer from January 2014 to April 2017. During this time, they gained networking, security, and troubleshooting skills. Jon also held the roles of SOC Engineer from July 2005 to January 2014, IT Support Technician from May 2000 to July 2005, and Technical Support Specialist from March 1999 to May 2000.

Jon Coleman completed their education at two different universities. Jon first attended Sheffield Hallam University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Systems Modelling. Following this, Jon pursued their Master of Science degree in Computing at The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1997 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Jon has also earned certifications in the field of Linux administration. Jon holds a Certified Linux Administrator (LPIC-1) credential from the Linux Professional Institute and a CompTIA Linux+ certification from CompTIA.
