Piotr Błaszczyk

Piotr Błaszczyk has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Piotr currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at CyberSmart, where they have been working since November 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Technical Lead at the same company from June 2020 to November 2021.

In addition to their current position, Piotr has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and an Associate Researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, starting in 2022. Piotr has experience as a Principal Engineering Manager and Team Lead at Navenio from 2016 to 2020. Before that, they worked as a Co-Founder at both Soinventiv and Sensigraph Ltd from 2013 to 2017 and 2014 to 2016, respectively.

Piotr's work history also includes roles such as a Doctoral Researcher at AGH University of Science and Technology from 2010 to 2015, a Software Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Rescom s.c. from 2006 to 2015, a Software Engineer at Arces Network, LLC in 2013, a Researcher and Network Administrator at Cracow University of Technology from 2006 to 2013, and a Software Engineer and Software Architect at the Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences from 2009 to 2010.

Piotr contributed significantly to the technology sector as a Co-Founder of both Sensigraph and Soinventiv.

Sensigraph Ltd from 2014 to 2016 was a pioneering startup in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), specialising in advanced sensor technology. Under Piotr’s leadership, the company developed cutting-edge sensor systems that enhanced data collection processes across various industries.

Soinventiv from 2014 to 2017, another venture co-founded by Piotr, focused on the commercialisation of scientific research. The company aimed to bridge the gap between academic discoveries and their practical applications, facilitating the transformation of innovative research into market-ready products and services.

Apart from his professional endeavours, Piotr is deeply committed to social causes. He is a co-founder of Paczka na Gwiazdkę, a nationwide charity initiative that began in 2015. This programme organises Christmas gifts for children undergoing cancer treatment across Poland and collaborates with 16 hospitals. Through this significant outreach, Piotr has helped bring joy and hope to numerous children during the Christmas season.

Piotr Błaszczyk completed his Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science at Politechnika Krakowska im. Tadeusza Kościuszki in 2007. Piotr then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, completing it in 2016.
