Gavin McKechnie

Gavin McKechnie has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several organizations. Their most recent position is as an Account Director at Cybit since 2021.

Prior to this, Gavin worked at The Web Bureau starting in 2009. Here, they held several roles including Senior Digital Account Manager from November 2016 to January 2021 and Digital Account Manager from January 2009 to November 2016. Gavin also served as a Business Development Manager from January 2009 to January 2014, where they were responsible for the development and creation of web solutions, account management, project management, and sales management and marketing.

Before joining The Web Bureau, Gavin worked at EoverI Ltd in 2008, where they focused on export market research and development in the IT business and grid computing sectors.

In 2007, Gavin worked as a sales and marketing manager at Zing DP, where they managed client accounts in the print and design industry and generated new business through marketing efforts.

From 2004 to 2007, Gavin held managerial positions at IPG Marketing Ltd and IPG Imports.

Overall, Gavin McKechnie has extensive experience in account management, business development, project management, sales management, marketing, and export market research.

Gavin McKechnie pursued their educational journey in various institutions and fields of study. Gavin attended Oxford Brookes University from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Information Management. During the same period, they also studied at Damelin, where they obtained a Diploma in Information Management. Additionally, at Damelin, they completed a program in Computer Hardware and Software, earning an A certification, from 2001 to 2003. Prior to these endeavors, Gavin studied at Rhodes University from 2000 to 2001, working towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Computer Science.

In terms of additional certifications, Gavin obtained the Award in Leadership and Management from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) in June 2015. Gavin also completed courses in Sales and Account Management and Project Management Fundamentals at ILM, graduating in February 2015 and January 2014, respectively.
