Mariya Valerio serves as Senior Accountant UK and Group AR Manager at Cycas Hospitality since January 2023, while concurrently holding the position of Financial Controller at Bankside Hotel since April 2022. Prior to these roles, Mariya worked as Assistant Director Of Finance at Strand Palace Hotel from October 2019 to April 2022 and at The Trafalgar St. James from June 2018 to September 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Financial Controller at Marriott International for eight months in 2017 and in various financial roles at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from April 2015 to October 2017, starting as Trainee Assistant Financial Controller. Mariya began a career in hospitality finance in 2007 as IRD (F&B Supervisor) at The Park Tower Knightsbridge. Academic qualifications include a degree in Financial Management, Accounting and Finance from HOSPA in 2017 and a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology and Processing and Tourism from the University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski," obtained in 2005.
