Romina Briffa

Head of Quality at Cycle Pharmaceuticals

Romina Briffa is the current Head of Quality at Cycle Pharmaceuticals. Romina has previous experience working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Malta and the University of St Andrews. Vivian Corporation Ltd was their previous employer, where they worked as Regulatory Affairs and Quality Unit Manager, Responsible Person. In this position, they were responsible for the development and implementation of regulatory and quality strategies for new projects. Romina also liaised with Regulatory Affairs/Quality and other functional areas including external partners and consultants in the planning, organisation, and preparation of regulatory documents for submission to governmental regulatory agencies and subsequent progress towards fulfilment of regulatory and quality commitments.

Romina Briffa holds a PhD in Molecular and Clinical Medicine from The University of Edinburgh. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science in Pharmacy at the University of Malta, and a B. Pharm. (Hons.) also from the University of Malta. Romina is also a certified pharmacist from the Pharmacy Council - Malta.

Romina Briffa reports to James Harrison, Group CEO. They are on a team with Steve McCue - Group CFO, Chikai Lai - Deputy CEO, and Claudia Percivalle - Head of Global Regulatory Affairs & Clinical Development.
