Amma Kankam

Amma Kankam has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Amma began their career as an Application Reader for Yale Young African Scholars in February 2019. Amma then worked as a Laboratory Assistant in the Yale Physics Department from September 2018 to December 2019. In April 2020, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Pfefferle Group at Yale School of Engineering and Applied Science, a position they held until September 2021. Following this, they worked as a Dining Hall Student Manager at Yale Hospitality from October 2021 to May 2022. Amma then joined the Yale School of Engineering and Applied Sciences as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Elimelech Group in June 2021. Amma'scurrent role is as an Environmental Engineer at Cyclopure, starting in July 2022.

Amma Kankam completed their high school education at Faith Montessori School from 2014 to 2018, earning a High School Diploma with a focus on science. Amma then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Yale University from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, in 2019, they attended the School for International Training, where they studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chinese Herbology at the Yunnan Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.
