Andreas Brecht has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Junior Group Leader at University Tübingen in 1993. Andreas then worked as an EMBO Fellow at EPFL/Horst Vogel before moving to Agilent for Strategic Marketing in Lab-On-A-Chip Systems. Andreas later co-founded Covalys Biosciences AG, where they served as Chief Technology Officer and eventually General Manager. Andreas also worked at Cytion as an R&D Team Groupleader before transitioning to Biotech Projects as a Consultant. Andreas then joined Actelion, where they held several roles such as External Innovation Specialist and Senior Medical Science Manager. Most recently, they served as the Medical Director at Spectrum Therapeutics GmbH before becoming the Director of Medical Affairs Europe at Cyclo Therapeutics, Inc.
Andreas Brecht completed their undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at the University of Tübingen from 1983 to 1989. Andreas then pursued a PhD in Biochemistry/Biophysics at the Physical Chem. Dept. at the University of Tuebingen, Germany, and completed their degree in 1993.
