Ben Waters, GAICD

Ben Waters, GAICD, has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Ben began their career as a Customer Relationship Representative at Optus, followed by a Customer Relationship Consultant at Sensis. In 2010, they became an IT Support Officer at The Myer Family Company Ltd. In 2011, they moved to stratsec as an Associate Consultant. In 2013, they joined BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a Senior Consultant. In 2015, they joined Hivint as a Senior Security Advisor and General Manager. In 2018, they held two contract roles as an Information Security Advisor at CSIRO and a Cyber Security Architect at RACV. In 2019, they became Co-Founder and COO of Cydarm Technologies.

Ben Waters obtained a Bachelor of Business - Business Information Systems from RMIT University between 2007 and 2011, majoring in IT. In October 2014, they obtained a GSEC certification from GIAC. In February 2015, they obtained a CISSP certification from ISC2. In July 2015, they obtained a PCI QSA certification from the PCI Security Standards Council. In July 2012, they obtained a SABSA Chartered Architect (SCF) certification from the SABSA Institute. In November 2016, they obtained a GAICD certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
