Eleazar Bernal

Eleazar Bernal has a diverse work experience. Eleazar began their career in 2021 as a Software Engineer for Cylera. From 2016 to 2021, they worked for Dow in various roles. These roles included R&D Production Engineer, Commissioning & Startup Engineer, and EDGE Engineer. Eleazar'sR&D Production Engineer role involved interfacing with scientists, customers, manufacturing facilities, and scale-up engineers to create and develop new products for customers. As a Commissioning & Startup Engineer, they facilitated system turnovers from construction to operations. Lastly, as an EDGE Engineer, they were an Improvement Engineer for a Propylene Oxide/Propylene Glycol plant. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2016, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the MIT Langer Lab, where they developed enteric thermoplastic polymers to treat Malaria in third world countries. Eleazar also optimized high throughput protein assays and absorbance scans for testing drugs in blood serum.

Eleazar Bernal earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, they received their High School Diploma from PSJA North High School in 2008-2012.
