Emlyn Jones is a highly experienced GIS professional currently serving as a Senior Specialist at Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru / Natural Resources Wales since September 2021. With a diverse background, Emlyn co-founded Gwe Cambrian Web in June 2013, focusing on web design and development, while also managing technical aspects related to website security and updates. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Spatial Engineer and Spatial Engineer at Natural Resources Wales, where responsibilities included providing technical support for spatial applications and developing GIS solutions. Emlyn began in the GIS field as a GIS Support Officer, ensuring forestry datasets were current and functional. Additional experience includes working as a Product Specialist at Skye Instruments Ltd, overseeing new environmental monitoring instruments, and previous retail experience at Waterstones. Emlyn holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Monitoring and Analysis and a B.Sc. in Physical Geography from Aberystwyth University.
