Peter Jones is a River Restoration Officer at Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru / Natural Resources Wales since November 2021, specializing in large-scale river restoration projects. Previous experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Officer and Research Technician at Swansea University, focusing on river fish responses to hydrodynamic conditions. Peter has held positions as a Senior Field Scientist and Field Scientist at APEM Ltd, and a Fisheries Ecologist at Wessex Ecology, with expertise in aquatic surveys and fisheries management. Additional roles include consulting for the Department of Conservation, research at the University of Otago, and ecological assessments with Archipelagos. Peter holds a PhD in Freshwater Ecology from the University of Otago, an MSc in Water and Coastal Management from the University of Plymouth, and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia.
