Vithal Donakonda

Vithal Donakonda currently serves as the Global Head of Procurement at Cyient, focusing on margin improvement and procurement transformation through strategic initiatives and digitization. With prior experience as Global Head of Procurement for Data, Digital & IT at Novartis, Vithal managed procurement with a total spend exceeding $2 billion, aligning IT strategy with supplier management and governance. At Unilever, Vithal led a Procurement Center of Excellence, driving operational efficiencies and compliance across global procurement processes. Vithal co-founded the Indian Speaker Bureau and established one of the country’s first crowdfunding platforms, vcSyndicate. Vithal's early career included roles at Infosys Technologies and Genpact, contributing to significant IT and sourcing strategies. Academic qualifications encompass a degree from Harvard Business School and an MBA from the Indian School of Business, along with a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
