Tim Bloomer, CISSP

Tim Bloomer, CISSP has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field. Tim began their career in 1999 as a Network Security Engineer/Network Manager at Xerox, where they designed, implemented, and supported a network and security infrastructure for a services-oriented organization. In 2005, they joined Stonesoft, Inc. as a Senior Network Security Specialist, where they were assigned to the Technical Support Team and provided professional services ranging from upgrades, installs, design, troubleshooting, and documentation. In 2011, they joined CNI Information Technology, LLC as a System Analyst III, where they managed security incidents, ensured internal security controls were appropriate, and recommended threat mitigation strategies. Tim also held positions at DOW Networks and ISSA Metro Atlanta Chapter in 2011, including Vice President and Corporate Information Security Officer. In 2012, they returned to AlgoSec as Global SE Manager and Technical Director of Americas, and then in 2015 they joined Venafi as a Sr. Systems Engineer. In 2018, they returned to AlgoSec as a Regional Sales Engineer and in 2021, they joined Cynerio as the Director of Sales Engineering and Sr. Sales Engineer.

Tim Bloomer attended IT2 from 1994-1995 and obtained a degree in Computer Programming. Tim then obtained the SGCI certification from Stonesoft in February 2006, followed by the SGCA and SGCE certifications from Stonesoft in February 2002. Finally, they obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)2 in November 2010.
