Tony Burke, BAOL, DASM®, CCMP™, Rotarian has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 1997, Burke was a Firefighter for the City of Coquitlam. In 2002, they became the Executive Director of the BCPFF Burn Fund, where they increased operational revenues from $300K to $1.6 million and serviced 49 Burn Fund Representatives around British Columbia. In 2008, they became the International Burn Coordinator for the IAFF Foundation, where they coordinated initiatives on behalf of 300,000 members in North America, focusing on fire prevention and burn awareness education, advocacy, burn research and improving the quality of life for burn survivors. In 2012, Burke became the Executive Director of the American Red Cross - Eastern South Dakota, where they ensured mission delivery of lines of service and acted as the “Face” of the Red Cross. In 2016, Burke became the Regional Growth Officer - Mid-West/Program Manager for Senscio Systems, where they lead and actively engaged in business development and sales efforts associated with the assigned market segment targets. In 2017, Burke became the Operations Director for Feeding South Dakota, where they increased distribution by 19% in one fiscal year through efficiencies. In 2019, Burke became a Public Assistance Program Delivery Manager for FEMA. In 2020, Burke became the Disaster Services Project Manager, Training & Support Coordinator for Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota. In 2022, Burke became the State Government Relations Director South Dakota/North Dakota for the American Heart Association, as well as an Advocacy Campaign Manager and Referral Partner for CypherWorx.

Tony Burke has a diverse educational background. Tony began their educational journey in 1987, when they obtained their High School Diploma from St Peter's District High School. In 1991, they earned an Associate Degree in Cooperative Technology from Cape Breton University. In 2012, they obtained an Accelerated Paramedic Program from the University of Iowa. From 2016 to 2018, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Dakota Wesleyan University. In 2022, they received a Record of Achievement in Change Management from the University of Alberta.

In addition to their formal education, Tony Burke has also earned numerous certifications. Tony has obtained certifications from The Futures School, Dare to Lead™ Trained, LinkedIn, Project Management Institute, Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota, Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, John Hopkins University SAIS Online, and FEMA.
