Gabriel Vaca

Gabriel Vaca has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry. Gabriel is currently working as the Director - Fleet Operations at Cypress Creek Renewables since August 2023. Prior to this, Gabriel was a Renewable Energy Consultant from November 2021 to August 2023.

From 2017 to 2021, Gabriel worked at Brookfield Renewable as the Regional Director - Pacific Operations North America. Their responsibilities included managing hydroelectric, wind, and other renewable generation facilities.

Before that, Gabriel held the position of Vice President at NaturEner from 2011 to 2017. Gabriel was responsible for the safe and reliable management of all operating assets in the US and Canada, as well as the financial management of each project. Gabriel also contributed to the integration and balancing of wind energy assets with the grid.

From 2008 to 2011, Gabriel worked at AES Wind Generation as the Regional Director - Asset Management Europe. Gabriel was involved in the establishment and operation of wind assets in Europe, and played a key role in negotiating wind turbine supply and service agreements.

Gabriel's career in the renewable energy industry started at AES SeaWest in 1999, where they served as a Director. Gabriel managed over 500 MW of wind energy assets and was responsible for the operations and P&L of company-owned assets. Gabriel also played a significant role in negotiating supply and service agreements and power purchase agreements.

Overall, Gabriel Vaca has held various leadership roles in the renewable energy industry, focusing on asset management, operations, and business development.

Gabriel Vaca earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus in Finance from the University of San Diego, completing their studies between 1989 and 1993. Gabriel later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at the same university, from 1997 to 1999.
