Lizzie Medford

Director, Investment Analytics at Cypress Creek Renewables

Lizzie Medford has a diverse background in the energy and environmental sectors. Lizzie most recently worked at Cypress Creek Renewables, starting as a Sr. Analyst in Investment Analytics in March 2020 and progressing to Manager in August 2021, and currently holds the position of Director in the same department since March 2023.

Prior to that, Lizzie worked at ICF as an Energy Markets Consultant from March 2019 to March 2020, where they performed economic analysis of energy and environmental markets and contributed to the development of models and databases. Lizzie also worked as a Commercial Energy Analyst at ICF from July 2017 to March 2019, supporting various client projects and performing market research.

Lizzie has also gained experience in the clean energy sector as a Clean Energy Leadership Institute Fellow from August 2018 to December 2018. During this fellowship, they underwent intensive training in clean energy policy, finance, and technology.

Additionally, Lizzie worked as a Graduate Consultant at the New York Power Authority from January 2017 to May 2017, where they provided consulting services on energy-related projects. Lizzie also held an internship position at the Environmental Defense Fund from September 2016 to May 2017, where they conducted research and contributed to policy-related projects.

Lizzie's earlier experiences include an elected position as Sustainability Chair at Scripps Associated Students from May 2015 to May 2016, and various research and internship roles focused on clean energy and environmental issues.

Lizzie Medford holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia | SIPA, which they completed from 2016 to 2017. Prior to obtaining their Master's, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Analysis from Scripps College, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, Lizzie pursued various Bachelor's Degree programs in Rainforest, Reef, and Cultural Ecology at the School for International Training in 2015, and in Marine Conservation at The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University in 2014. Before their higher education, Lizzie attended Catlin Gabel School from 1998 to 2012.
