Amethyst Thorman

Amethyst Thorman is an experienced educator currently serving as a Campus Instructional Coach and Science Department Chair at Cypress-Park High School within Cypress-Fairbanks ISD since August 2017. Prior to this role, Amethyst was a Science Teacher and Cheer Coach at Northside ISD from August 2013 to June 2017 and at Edgewood ISD from July 2006 to June 2013, specializing in Physics. Amethyst's career in education began at Eagle Pass Independent School District, where a position as a Science Teacher was held from August 2005 to June 2006. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Multidisciplinary Sciences from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Texas A&M University. Amethyst also holds high school diplomas from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science and Antonian College Preparatory High School.
