Latanya Simpson

Latanya Simpson is an experienced program director currently employed at Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation since October 2019. Prior roles include serving as a SYEP Facilitator at Henry Street Settlement in 2019 and an Afterschool Program Coordinator at CAMBA from August 2012 to January 2018. Latanya also worked as a Site Coordinator for Communities In Schools of the Nation's Capital between 2014 and 2015, as an Achievement Coach at Higher Achievement from September 2009 to June 2010, and as an English Instructor at the Latin American Youth Center from 2008 to 2010. Prior to these positions, Latanya served as a Program Coordinator at Fihankra Akoma Ntoaso FAN from August 2006 to May 2009. Latanya holds a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Howard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Michigan State University.
