Lucy Fairhurst

Lucy Fairhurst is a Senior Scientist at Cyprotex, where involvement in the drug metabolism team includes expertise in cell culture, PCR, robotic workflows, mass spectrometry, assay development, training, and assay management, having held the titles of Scientist II and Scientist I since joining in May 2018. Previously, Lucy worked at QIAGEN from February 2015 to July 2017, serving as a Scientist in Personalised Healthcare, where responsibilities included leading and training teams, conducting laboratory work, and protocol writing for in vitro diagnostic qPCR kits. Earlier roles at QIAGEN involved research and development of products, as well as quality control testing using Real-Time PCR assays, providing experience in GMP, GLP, and GDP environments. Lucy holds a Master of Science in Clinical Biochemistry from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds.
