Savvas Loizou

Savvas Loizou is an Associate Professor at Cyprus University of Technology since January 2011, where Savvas serves as the Director of the Robotics Control & Decision Systems Lab. With a strong background in autonomous systems, Savvas specializes in underwater robotics, ground vehicles, aerial vehicles, air traffic management systems, control theory, formal methods in robotics, multi-agent systems, and robotic navigation. Prior to this role, Savvas held positions as an Assistant Professor at Frederick University and as a Visiting Lecturer at the National Technical University of Athens. Savvas also gained experience as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Pennsylvania. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, both from the National Technical University of Athens.
