Susan Affleck is an experienced professional in community education and outreach services, currently serving as the Outreach Service Manager at Cyrenians since July 2023. Prior to this role, Susan managed Positive Destinations at Midlothian Sure Start from August 2015 to July 2023 and held various positions, including Board Trustee at Play Midlothian and Youth Worker at Midlothian Council. Previous experience also includes roles as Volunteer Coordinator at Four Square - Springboard Project and Programme Coordinator/Employment Specialist at ENABLE Scotland. Susan began their career as a Receptionist/Medical Secretary at Dalhousie Medical Practice. Educationally, Susan holds a BA in Community Education from The University of Edinburgh, a PDA Level 9 in Childhood Practice from Edinburgh College, and an NC and HNC in Working with Communities from Edinburgh College.

For over 50 years Cyrenians has been tackling the causes and consequences of homelessness. Our values-led, relationship-based approach to delivering our services means we are able to offer person-centred support to those in need of our help. By reacting to both the consequences of homelessness and working to prevent homelessness occurring in the first instance, we are proud of our history of delivering life-changing support to those in our community.
