Dean Shults

Associate Director, Statistical Programming at Cytel

Dean Shults has extensive work experience in the field of statistical programming and biostatistics. Dean is currently employed as the Associate Director of Statistical Programming at Cytel since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Cytel as a Principal Statistical Programmer from December 2012 to March 2021.

Before joining Cytel, Dean worked at Merck Serono as a Principal Statistical Programmer from December 2007 to November 2012. Dean's earlier roles include working as a Biostatistician at Serono International SA from July 2001 to July 2004 and at Quintiles from October 1998 to June 2001. At Quintiles, they were promoted to Biostatistician III in 1999 and received two 'Instant Awards' for their work. Dean also had two 'customer managed' positions during their time at Quintiles.

Dean Shults has a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Statistics from the University of Leicester, which they obtained from 1997 to 1998.
