Vanessa van Balkom

Vanessa van Balkom is a seasoned professional in risk management and compliance, currently serving as Senior Director of Global Enterprise Risk Management at Cytiva since April 2021. Previously held positions include Global Director of Risk Management and Compliance at Millennium Hotels and Resorts, where Vanessa oversaw risk management for a significant hotel group, and Group Risk and Compliance Director at Battersea Power Station Development Company, contributing to one of Europe's largest redevelopment projects. With extensive experience at BSI as Group Risk and Compliance Manager, Vanessa also chaired the Social Responsibility Project Team. Vanessa's educational background encompasses an MSc in International Business from Maastricht University and an MSc in Public Policy and Human Development, along with studies at prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford and The George Washington University.
