Alexandra Sirota-Madi has a strong background in science operations, computational biology, and bioinformatics. Alexandra is currently the VP of Science Operations at CytoReason, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Senior Director of Science Operations at CytoReason from July 2022 to April 2023 and the Director of Science Operations from September 2019 to June 2022. Before joining CytoReason, Alexandra worked at Evelo Biosciences as a Scientist, Computational Biologist from July 2016 to July 2018. Alexandra also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Broad Institute from February 2014 to July 2016, where they focused on developing tools and methods for integrating gut microbiome multi-omic data. Alexandra's career in computational biology began as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tel Aviv University in 2013.
Alexandra Sirota-Madi earned a Master's Degree in Computational Biology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Biology at Tel Aviv University between 2007 and 2013.
