Revital Shamri has a diverse work experience in the field of immunology and research. Revital started their most recent role as a Project Lead and Senior Immunologist at CytoReason in December 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Scientist at the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem from November 2014 to December 2018. Revital also served as a Senior Lecturer at Haddasah Academic College from September 2016 to June 2018. Before their time in academia, Shamri worked as an Instructor in Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from January 2010 to August 2014, leading projects and mentoring technicians and students in the field of Eosinophil Biology. Revital also held a Research Fellow position at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School from March 2006 to the present, where they focused on developing novel tools to detect secretions from granules in eosinophils and studying secretion mechanisms in inflamed murine tissues. Prior to their research positions, Shamri worked as a Molecular Biologist in the R&D department at Sigma-Aldrich from 1998 to 2000.
Revital Shamri obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1995. Revital then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology at the same institution from 1996 to 1998. Subsequently, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Immunology from the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2000 to 2005.
