Cedar Farwell has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Starting in 2018, Cedar worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Mobile Virtual Player from March 2018 to July 2018. In the same year, Cedar also worked as a Research And Development Intern at Clairways, where they were responsible for mechanical design and FEA simulation. Cedar then joined the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on R&D for an Electrical Impedance Tomography sensor suite. They worked on building a multi-contact probe and Arduino controlled impedance sensing circuitry, as well as handling data acquisition and processing in Python. In 2019, Cedar continued their work in research and development as a Research And Development Engineer at DoseOptics LLC. They were involved in research and development projects, including building a skin tissue chest phantom with tunable synthetic lung sounds. Most recently, in 2021, Cedar became a Senior Product Design Engineer at Cytovale, and prior to that, they worked as a Verification Engineer II at the same company.

Cedar Farwell attended Dartmouth College from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mechanical Engineering. They then continued their education at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth from 2017 to 2018, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to their college education, in 2012, Cedar also participated in an outdoor education program at NOLS. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Cedar obtained a certification as a Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) from Dassault Systèmes in June 2018.
