Dr. Natalie Johnson

Dr. Natalie Johnson has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Dr. Natalie currently holds the position of South Florida Chapter Vice President of Education and Events at Cyversity, where they play a key role in advancing the organization's mission and vision in the cybersecurity industry. Previously, they worked at Broward County Government as an Information Systems Manager and later as a Senior Information Technology Specialist, providing technical direction and consultative guidance to meet IT goals and initiatives. Prior to that, they served as a Project Manager/Compliance Officer at Nordis Direct. Dr. Johnson's expertise includes bridging the knowledge and experience gap in cybersecurity, providing expert advice on new requirements and technology, and integrating and improving efficiency of IT systems. Dr. Natalie holds certifications in PMP, CISM, CDPSE, and EDBA-IS.

Dr. Natalie Johnson has an extensive education history in the field of cybersecurity, privacy, and business administration. Dr. Natalie completed their Juris Master of Law with a concentration in Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Technology Risk Management at Florida State University in 2024. Prior to that, they earned their Executive Doctor of Business Administration in Information Security from St. Thomas University between 2018 and 2021. Dr. Natalie also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Management and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Their foundational education includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems, which they earned from Florida Atlantic University in 2003.

Dr. Johnson also holds several certifications. Dr. Natalie obtained the GIAC Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) certification from GIAC Certifications in August 2018. In 2017, they obtained the ITIL Foundations certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Dr. Natalie also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in February 2013. Additionally, they are a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certified by ISACA since January 2019.
