Johann Balaguer

Johann Balaguer serves as the Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer at Seminole Hard Rock Support Services since September 2023. In addition, Johann teaches as a Cybersecurity Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Maryland University College, focusing on advanced Cyber Security and Computer Information Technology. Johann is also the South Florida Chapter Leader for Cyversity, a non-profit organization promoting diversity in cybersecurity, and serves on the board of SoFloTechKids, aiming to bridge the digital divide for youth through technology. Previous roles include Senior Director of Global Security at UKG, Global Risk and Advisory Services at Assurant, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at United States Southern Command, and service in the US Marine Corps. Johann holds degrees from prestigious institutions including an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a degree in Management Information Systems from Purdue Global, along with additional executive education from MIT, Yale, and Columbia Business School.
