Matthew Corbishley

Matthew Corbishley has over 20 years of experience in software development and technology roles. Matthew started their career in 1999 at Thomson Financial, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Agile XP development using C#. During their time at Thomson Financial, they also contributed to the development of Interactive Charting, Economics, and Fixed Income modules.

In 2005, Matthew joined UBS as a Systems Developer, where they focused on analysis, development, and management of Investment Tools projects. Matthew played a key role in creating valuation models and developing a portfolio analysis system.

In 2008, Matthew moved to Arch Financial Group as a Systems Developer, where they were involved in business analysis, architectural investigation, and agile development of Opera, a suite of applications covering trading, settlement, reconciliation, and portfolio valuation.

After their tenure at Arch Financial Group, Matthew joined Credit Suisse in 2010 as a Technical Lead. Matthew led a global team responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of SecNet, a Structured Notes trading application written in C#. Matthew also worked on real-time price publishing and trade capture and fulfillment on Borsa Italiana.

In 2011, Matthew became a Co-founder and Development Lead at SCMTec, a start-up that focused on developing client projects using an "equity for development" approach. Matthew negotiated software agreements and led the development of the prototype for HedgeHogger, a portfolio analysis tool.

Most recently, Matthew worked at Czarnikow since 2014 as a Lead Developer. Matthew was involved in the design and development of Suite, an application covering front, middle, and back-office functions within the physical commodity and derivatives trading space. This application included trade capture, reconciliation, settlement, valuation, risk management, and reporting components.

Overall, Matthew Corbishley has built extensive experience in various aspects of software development, including design, architecture, management, and leadership roles.

Matthew Corbishley obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from Queen Mary University of London from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their A Levels in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at Tower Hamlets College from 1990 to 1992. Matthew later pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary Science at IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society from 1995 to 1996.
